20 Things About Me Tag

Hey Lovelies! How are you all enjoying Spring so far? I'm super excited for things to warm up, so I can stop wearing 30 thousand layers when I'm out and about. I'm seriously always cold... right now I'm typing this post whilst under a duvet, blanket, in a Pikachu onesie and big fluffy slippers and I'm still honestly cold.

Anywhooo...I decided to post 20 things about me, so you can get to know me a little better. Without further adieu, get to know me :) EDIT: I completely missed out number 19! It's been rectified now, sorry!

1) Something you can't leave the house without?

My iPhone. I can't leave the room without it in my hand, let alone the house. I'm not always constantly glued to the screen (although that is about 90% of my day) but it helps with my anxiety if I can feel it in my hand or pocket, it's like a modern day security blanket!

2) Favorite brand of makeup?

Make Up Revolution, hands down. I mean, it's not like you'd be able to guess that from my instagram feed and my vanity area. I just find MUR to be good quality and a budget price. In all honesty, anything created by the parent company Tam Beauty is perfect in my opinion. I'm sure this opinion would change if I had access to higher end brands like Urban Decay and Too Faced... but they're so far out of my budget.

3) Favorite flower?

I don't really have a favorite, I'm not a flowery kind of gal. I'd probably pick roses, if I absolutely had too.

4) Favorite clothing store?

Physical store: Primark, because you cannot beat those prices and all those super duper cute geeky and band themed shirts. Online store: EMP, because no matter how hard I try... I'm always gonna be a rock chick at heart <3

5) Favorite perfume?

I don't really wear perfume, despite the entire shelf full. Currently, my favorite is actually the Christmas scent that Zoella brought out. It's gingerbread! I can't wait to try her more summery scents this year.

6) Heels or Flats?

Platforms, they're the best of both worlds and make me taller! I've got a pair of platform boots which are stunning, I wear them all the time. I've also got a pair of platform New Rocks with springs in the platform... they're utterly beautiful!

7) What is the meaning behind your blog name?

Nyxie Rose is a combo of two things... my nickname and a pretty flower. Nyxie comes from Nyx, the Greek Goddess of Night. It's been my online name for a really long time now, including MMORPG's. Rose is just a nice flower and it honestly just sounds really good with the first part!

8) Favorite colours?

Purple, Red, Black and Gold... :D

9) Do you drink energy drinks?

I used too.. alot. But it sets off my anxiety and gives me chest pains. I'll only really drink them now if I'm out and about and it's been a long day. I'm 100% sure that Jamie actually has Monster running through his veins instead of blood...

10) Do you drink juice?

I love juice, both fresh and the bottled stuff from the supermarket. I find it really refreshing, but I often forget I've opened fresh juice and nine times out of ten it goes off :(

11) Do you like swimming?

I used too, when I was little. But I haven't been swimming in so long that I'm not sure I'd enjoy it now.

12) Do you eat fries with a fork?

I don't actually like many potato based foods, so I eat Sweet Potato instead. Sometimes I will eat them with a fork, other times I don't... it kind of depends on how lazy I'm feeling and what else is with them.

13) Favorite moisturizer?

I honestly don't have one! I don't really use moisturizers, I'm terrible at skin care... I'm hoping to establish a routine soon (there's a planned blog post about all things skin!)

14) Do you want to get married later on in life?

Oh, god yes. I want to be a pretty princess for the day, and poor Jamie is fully aware of this. 100% sure he wants to get married later in life soon... just hope he doesn't wait too long!

15) Do you get mad easily?

I have no fuse, I can get mad about the stupidest thing. I'm not too great at telling when someone is messing with me, so I often bite when my mum's winding me up. (Sorry mum!)

16) Are you into ghost hunting?

I'm a paranormal/supernatural geek. I adore anything weird like that, in fact I follow a paranormal investigation group called Paranormal Portsmouth, it's super cool seeing them talk about places that I know. They're an awesome group, seriously check them out.

17) Do you have any phobias?

I have fears, but not phobias. I'm not keen on heights, or loud noises but I'm pretty sure that's just my anxiety.

18) Do you bite your nails?

Yes. :( I actually have a condition known as dermatophagia, more commonly known as skin picking. It's linked to my anxiety, and causes me to bite at my nails, the skin around my nails, my lip and the insides of my cheeks until they're really saw and bleeding. It's horrid. I try to wear false nails as often as possible to hide the damage but if you see my nails looking gross, this is why. I'm sorry in advance.

Nope, not at all. I'm quiet lucky to have never been in any bad situations. (Sorry for missing number 19 off the original post, I'm really useless with numbers!)

20) Do you drink coffee?

Ewww. No. I'm a strictly tea and hot chocolate kinda girl. I don't even like the smell of coffee... plus imagine me all hyped up on caffeine. That's scary!
