Hey everyone! It's Friday and that means the weekend is almost here! Yaaay! Got anything interesting planned? I'm going out for a meal on Sunday, I'll be posting all about that Sunday night :)
I recently placed an order on Superdrug's website and decided to order 2 of the MUA Matte lipsticks. I've got a few (a lot) of the MUA lipsticks, but none in the matte formula. I honestly love the packaging on these, they're white and silver instead of black and silver, meaning you can find your matte and gloss shades easily. There is something about the white packaging that I just adore.
Just like the glossier shades in the black packaging, there is a little compartment with some product in. You can pop this off and use it like a lipgloss, but I tend to avoid that - I don't want to use all the product that shows me which colour is which!

I opted for two pink shades, I figured they looked suitable for spring and summer. The shades I got were Pouty Pink and Peachy Keen. Did I mention that these lipsticks are only £1.00 each? Yup, I'm not lying. One whole british pound.

Pouty Pink as you can tell is a pink toned lipstick, it's like a subtle barbie pink... not in your face, but still obvious. I've never been a pink girl, but I do love the shades. I have a few bright pinks, but I tend to reach for the more subtle shades for a daytime look.

Peachy Keen is a beautiful peach tone. It's hard to say anything more than that. It's just perfect. It is a bit pinky toned, but not much. Just like Pouty Pink, it's a great daytime lipstick.
Both of these would actually be perfect for wearing in an office. They aren't in your face, they're just right. If I had to pick out of the two shades, it would have to be the Pouty Pink shade. It just suits my skintone more.
Overall, I honestly would recommend these lipsticks. I can't really vouch for the other shades in the matte collection - I've not tried them. (Give me time!) But if you are looking for a pink and peach matte lipstick costing £1 each? Then these are your products. The best thing about MUA's £1 lipsticks, both the glossy and matte shades are the fact they only cost £1.00. You can experiment with shades that you might not feel comfortable with, and if they don't look good, you've only lost £1.00. That's a bargain in my book.
