Worth The Hype: Pink Fizz Palette

Hey lovelies,

I decided to start a blog series called "Worth The Hype Wednesday" where I'd give my honest opinions about hyped up products. I'm going to do this series weekly, focusing on products I've seen all over my Twitter and Instagram feeds. These products might not exactly be new now but hey, I had to get my hands on them!

I'm starting the series with the I Heart Makeup/Makeup Revolution "Chocolate Bar" palettes. I own three of these palettes but I opted to focus on the Pink Fizz palette because it's just so pretty.

The Pink Fizz palette retails at £7.99 and you can purchase it from Superdrug, both in store and online. Along as direct from Tam Beauty.

The packaging on this is to die for. It's a beautiful pink shade, with the melted chocolate bar feel. These palettes started as dupes for the Too Faced chocolate bar palettes, but I Heart Makeup ended up creating unique palettes - like Pink Fizz.

Pink Fizz has a mixture of matte shades and shimmer shades. When you open the palette, you find a large mirror (which is always a bonus) and double ended foam applicator, which isn't great but can be used to pack on the shimmer. I find that Pink Fizz has a lack of crease shades, but seeing as this palette is based on Pink Champagne - the shimmer is expected. Overall you get 16 shades, 3 are matte and the other 13 are shimmer. Mainly the shades are pink and sparkly with a couple of darker shades. To get the vibrancy of the shades, you really need a eye primer.

(Sorry for the reflection of my iPhone and it's Pokemon phone case!)

The palette comes with a little plastic overlay which has all the shade names.

Champers: A matte off white, a little chalky but buildable. Perfect for the brow bone.

Drink: A matte beige, very chalky and unimpressive but a good transition shade.

Flute: A shimmery light pink with silver undertones. Good pigmentation and buildable.

Sparkling: A shimmery pale lilac/pink tone (The photo doesn't do it justice, boo!) Silver undertones. Good pigment and buildable.

Toast: A coral/pink with a satin finish. Not too pigmented but it's really buildable. One of my favourite shades in the palette.

Bubbles: A silver pearlescent white. Good pigment and very buildable. A great shade for the inner corner.

Girl: A shimmery dusty pink, very pigmented and a gorgeous unique shade. Another favourite shade.

Party: A rustic orange, satin finish, unique shade, incredibly pigmented.

Elegant: A rose gold with subtle shimmer, very pigmented.

Celebrate: Silver blue shimmery shade, incredibly pigmented and buildable. Another favourite shade.

Truffle: A chocolate bronze shade with sparkles of burgundy and gold. Pigmented and buildable.

Rosy: A silvery shade, not pigmented at all.

Cork: A taupe brown with a satin finish, pigmented and buildable.

Pop: A matte chocolate brown, silky but chalky.

France: A navy/black with sparkles of gold. Can be patchy but buildable.

Pink Fizz: A shimmery pink, a tad powdery/chalky, but pigmented and very buildable.

Overall, this palette is amazing. It has a lot of potential for a lot of looks. As I said before, there are some shades which don't look that good on first swatch but you can build them up easily.

This is certainly a great palette for girls who love shimmer.

I honestly recommend this and for £8.00, it's really worth the pennies.

9/10 worth the hype.

Hope you enjoyed this review, what shades do you love from this palette?

XO Nyxie
