Hey everyone, you all know I love my tag posts. My usual blog post for tonight has had to be pushed back a few days (You'll see why!) and I thought I'd do a tag instead!

1.What are your top 3 make-up staples that you always have to wear?

Concealer, powder and eyeliner. I can’t live with those three products, well I could live without concealer but I need eyeliner in my life. My eyes look so small without eyeliner.

2. What is your favourite drugstore brand?

I don’t have just one favourite drugstore brand. I have three; MUA, e.l.f, and Makeup Revolution. (If you didn’t know, e.l.f is now being sold in Superdrug!) I wish I liked brands like Max Factor and Rimmel, but for some reason my skin doesn’t get on with them.

3. Smoky eyes or a strong lip?

Smokey eyes with a strong lip? I’m sorry, I just cannot pick between the two. There is something awesome about a dark smokey eye with blood red lips. Dead girl glam is where it’s at.

4. What is your skincare routine?

I don’t have one. I know, I know… I’m so bad. I’ve got a post on my “not really skincare” routine. I try to use makeup remover wipes, and a skincare wash but I usually forget. I’m using the Primark rose gold blackhead remover and also e.l.f’s spot treatment. They kind of help.

5. What is your best make-up tip?

Don’t give up. Up until last year, I wasn’t a girly girl. My idea of makeup was throwing on a ton of black eyeshadow and eyeliner and calling it a day. Now, I do everything: contour, blush, highlight and more - it’s so confusing but I won’t give up.

6. What is your favourite lip shade to wear?

Red. I loooove all kinds of red, but I’m really partial to nudes and purples right now.

7. First make-up item you ever bought?

Black eyeliner. I was a proper little emo kid up until last year. I wish I’d been girly growing up, but I didn’t have anyone to teach me about makeup. My mum and sister didn’t wear makeup, so everything I’ve learnt has come from Youtube videos.

8. What brands do you trust to last a long day out & about?

I don’t really have any products that I know will last a long day out and about. I know that if I invested in higher end brands, they’d last but I’m cheap and I can’t afford them. I have a few liquid lipsticks which seem to last all day, they’re the NYX liquid suedes. I also find that my NYX Vivid Brights eyeliner lasts all day. (Tested today in 25 degree weather!)

9. Do you save or splurge when it comes to beauty brands?

I save. Due to my current situation of not working, I can’t afford high end brands (I can dream though!) but I do love a bargain. I’m currently in love with Primark’s PS… range. It’s so cheap but SO pigmented and long wearing.

10. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?

It’s straight, but the side of my hair has a slight curl to it. Not too sure why.

11. What is your natural hair colour?

Blonde! I’ve actually forgotten what shade of blonde my hair is, but it is blonde.

12. Do you dye your hair? Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?

I dye it myself, it’s easier. I’ve dyed it flamingo pink, purple, black, orange, platinum, blue and now grey.

13. How often do you wash your hair?

Every other day at the moment. I try not to over wash it as I don’t want my dye to fade out.

14. How often do you change your nail polish?

I don’t. I chew my nails too much to be able to use polish… which is weird as I own 15 colours of nail polish and nail art gear.

15. Do you polish your toes in the winter, too or just in the summer?

I’ve never actually painted my toes. I kind of think it’d look tacky on me.

16. How long does it take to put on your makeup?

It depends on if I’m doing minimal or full face. A full face can take me anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. (Especially if I have a fight with my foundation) but minimal makeup takes me about half hour, sometimes less.

17. What do you do first? Face or eyes?

It depends on what eye look I’m doing. If I’m doing something majorly smokey or dramatic, I’ll do that first. (Same with if I use a shadow I know has a lot of fallout) but usually I do face first as that’s how I’ve always done my makeup.

18. How often do you wear false eyelashes?

Sometimes I do, but I usually screw up the application and get really angry with them. I’ve got about 30 different pairs, and I barely wear them. I really need to learn.

19. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?

Noooo - I don’t have the energy for that. I’ll do a full face if I’m going out or if I’m feeling fancy. But usually I’ll stick to foundation, concealer, powder and eyeliner.

20. Do you wear makeup when you are home alone (or with family)?

Nope, I’m lazy as anything. As soon as I get home, the makeup comes off. (And yet my face still breaks out) One time I had no makeup on, opened the door to my brother and 1 year old nephew (at the time) and he burst into tears. (My nephew, not my brother!) it didn’t give me a huuuge amount of bare face confidence.

21. Will you leave the house without makeup?

Not often. I’ll go out with no eye makeup on, but I’ll wear lipstick – providing I have sunglasses on. I’m not keen on the bare face movement – it doesn’t suit me at all.

22. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?

I’m so bad at this, it’s usually every 3-4 weeks or so. I’m trying to get into a routine of doing them, but I don’t actually do it. I’m so lazy.

23. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?

I do! I have a list on my phone of things I’ve seen other people talk about (usually SophDoesNail) and I try to get them to review on here so I can give my own opinions. I find it difficult to find some of the stuff I want in my local Superdrug and Boots… they’re SO small.

24. How did you come up with your blog name?

My blog name Nyxie Rose comes from my nickname, Nyxie and one of my favourite flowers, the Rose.

25. What kind of camera do you use for photographs?

I use my iPad for most of my photos, I used to use my iPhone but I traded that in for a Wiley Fox Swift 2. I also use my Nikon D3100 camera too.
