April Beauty Favourites | 2017

April is well and truly over, and May is in full swing. Summer is on it's way, which is always a good sign.

This is my first attempt at a roundup of my beauty favourites. I don't usually make a note of what I use, but in April, I kept them separate for this blog post. This is also the first time I've done a proper flat lay photograph and played with new editing apps on my phone - it's a good start to May!

I apologise for the lack of Worth The Hype Wednesday post tonight, I decided because April is over, I'd do something different. WTHW will be back next week.

(Sorry for the awfully ugly black frame, the white blended into the white background and it just looked so... off.)

Anyway, onto the main event, these are just a few of my favourite things...

• Foundation: Illuminating Touch Foundation by Collection in the shade Porcelain 2.

I have a huge love hate relationship with this foundation. Sometimes it looks horrible on my skin, sometimes it looks amazing. It's weird. I've changed the way I do my foundation now, so it looks a lot better. I find this foundation is a good full coverage, it helps conceal blemishes and spots. (I may of brought this because youtuber SophDoesNails talked about it. I'm easily swayed.)

• Primer: Insta Glow Primer by Miss Sporty UK.

I needed a new primer, I had no choice but get one because all my foundations were coming out really patchy and cakey. So, I invested a whole £4 (I think) on this primer. I wasn't sure what to expect, I kind of went for it because of the whole "Instagram" concept behind it - what can I say? I like selfies. This one gives you a really nice subtle glow under your foundation.

• Highlighter: Vivid Baked Highlighter by Makeup Revolution in the shade Golden Lights.

This is a holy grail product, seriously. The pigmentation is insane for something that only costs £3.00. I've written about this in my Drugstore Highlighters under £5.00 post if you want a full review.

• Eyeshadow: Eyeshadow Palette by Makeup Revolution in the shade Unicorns Are Real.

I got this palette free with an order I placed via the Superdrug website. I'd completely forgotten about it until last night, when I decided to find palettes to review. I will be writing a full review on this on Wednesday, with swatches, so keep an eye out for that. What I will say is that the palette is really pigmented and has full on unicorn vibes.

• Lipstick: Lip Geek Lipstick by I Heart Makeup in the shade Barbie Is Jealous.

This lipstick is one of those full on look at me shades, it's really bright and looks good with a smokey or nude eye. I just honestly love it, and I can't get over the packaging... Barbie really would be jealous!

I appear to be rocking the drugstore theme at the moment. I love finding amazing brands at low prices and being able to share them with you.
